We know how impactful volunteering can be for young people, it’s a great way to learn news skills, meet new people and make a difference to the landscapes across the Yorkshire Dales that we all love.
We offer two main ways to get involved;
Our Young Rangers programme is for 11-18 year olds, the group meets monthly in different areas of the park to carry out practical conservations tasks led by our dedicated Youth Volunteering officer. Find out more on our Young Rangers page including how to join.
Up Skill Down Dale is our programme for people aged 18 to 29 who want to learn new skills to help them develop a career in the green sector. Every April participants join a year-long supported programme with other like-minded people to explore a suite of exclusive volunteering and training opportunities with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA). Find out more on our USDD page including how to join.
If you wish to find out about other opportunities we have for young people that are not volunteering please see our Learning and Engagement pages.

They are the perfect opportunity to get involved with no long-term commitment.
