In a light polluted country, the quality of our dark skies is becoming increasingly important and is creating a growing market for tourism businesses.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park was designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve in November 2020 and is a fantastic place to enjoy the night sky – whether you’re attending an organised event or simply relaxing in a holiday cottage, campsite or B&B with a deckchair, a warm blanket and some binoculars.
It’s free to register and take part. Once accepted, you’ll get the Dark Sky Friendly logo to use on your website / social media and be promoted via a link on our website.
