The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is preparing a new Local Plan to cover the period 2023-2040. Our consultations to date have highlighted a pronounced interest from stakeholders in issues surrounding local occupancy policies and barn conversions.
This consultation provides an opportunity for you to guide the YDNPA in ensuring that the new Local Plan contains robust and effective policies that protect the Park’s communities and heritage treasures.
We are very interested to hear from households that have been affected by these policies, whether positively or negatively. We also want to hear from other interested parties such as estate agents, developers, solicitors and Parish Councils.
How to respond to this consultation
Part 1 of the consultation document looks at local occupancy policy and Part 2 looks at the policies surrounding barn conversions.
There are 19 consultation questions embedded in the consultation document and you can submit your answers and comments online, via e-mail to localplan@yorkshiredales.org.uk or by writing to FREEPOST Yorkshire Dales.
