We love running visits for organised groups, children and young people. We take young people into the landscapes across the Yorkshire Dales that we love most and give them a taste of the beauty and wonder of our place.
Our aim is to introduce a new generation to the wonders of our national park landscapes and inspire them to be active custodians of the natural world.
We work with all sorts of organisations from Healthy Holidays, guides, and scouts to youth groups.
Our young person visits are always fun; we plan activities around the young people’s expectations, experience, and abilities including groups with additional needs.
Activities on a supported visit day might include; skills for walking, navigation and bushcraft, accessible science investigations, natural crafts, and environmental games.
We talk to young people about green careers and opportunities to play an active part in looking after our environment and our practical conservation days such as our Dales Action Days give young people an opportunity to give something back to nature.
We can run supported supported group residentials where young people can experience a night under the stars in a dark sky reserve.
To find out more about current programmes please see our Education and learning news and our projects pages.

Supported Visits
We offer a programme of supported visits and residential opportunities for people from underrepresented communities.
All our visits aim to introduce people to something special about the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Dales Action Days
Our Dales Action Days offer a chance to get outside, meet new people, learn new skills, and take a unique ‘behind the scenes’ look at the National Park and our work.
They are the perfect opportunity to get involved with no long-term commitment.
