Working with farmers and land managers
Dales farmers and landowners want to protect the environment, enhance the landscape and run resilient future-proof businesses. The Farming in Protected Landscapes programme can them achieve all these goals.

We work with farmers and land managers on very varied projects, some embracing multiple themes and others that address specific priority areas. A FiPL grant could be for professional advice, new kit, a farm carbon audit, farm tours, building work, permissive footpaths, meadow restoration, pasture management, natural flood management, and much more.
If you have ideas, get in touch with us for help and advice on developing your proposal. In the first instance, submit an expression of interest form to outline your proposed project and include a map of your land. We will allocate a FiPL Adviser to discuss with you and ensure you have all the information and resources you need.
Please note that any activities/works cannot be undertaken before a signed grant agreement (contract) is in place. Claims are paid in arrears on completed and verified activity.
