Walk

Join our experienced Dales Volunteers for a 2.5 mile (3.5 km) guided walk and explore the history of Hawes and the village of Gayle.  Walk through this lovely market town to discover the origins of  Wensleydale cheese, see where the railway used to go and follow a section of the Pennine Way.

The route includes some steps, stiles and slight gradients. Please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy shoes with good grips.

Walk starts from Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, DL8 3NT.

Dogs not allowed (assistance dogs welcome but must be able to manage the stiles).
