The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a place where you can find the most wondrous star-filled skies, free from light pollution. Learn fun facts about the planets and star constellations in our solar system along the self guided Trail.

The Planet Trail is in Freeholders Wood, Which is just a few metres away from the Aysgarth Falls National Park Centre and the delicious Coppice Café.

The trail is approximately 1.5km to complete the full circuit including the waterfalls.

Booking is not required.

This Planet Trail is part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Fringe Festival running from 22nd October to 31st October 2021. The trail is also be available for the annual Dark Skies Festival which will run from the 18th February to the 6th March 2022.
