A stunning 3½ mile (5.6 km) walk around the fascinating remains of the lead mining industry of Swaledale with our expert guides. You will visit two smelt mills, associated buildings, flues, levels, adits and tips along a gravel track.

This walk is accessible for all terrain mobility scooters and pushchairs and is on a good track with a slight gradient.

Walk starts from Surrender Bridge

Dogs allowed on short (2m) fixed leads.

Places are limited, booking advisable.

To find Surrender Bridge Grid ref: SD989998 (Leave Reeth on the B6270 westwards. On leaving Healaugh take the right turn to Kearton & Surrender Bridge. Park on roadside at T junction).
