Join us on this 8 mile (12.9 km) walk with spectacular views of Wild Boar Fell and the Settle-Carlisle Railway. The walk follows part of the High Way, the route taken by Lady Anne Clifford in the 17th century to inspect her castles, up to Hell Gill. It then crosses over Mallerstang before climbing gently up into the remote valley of Grisedale (“The Dale that died”) and returning to Garsdale.
The route has one steepish climb up to the High Way. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather on the day and walking boots.

Please bring a packed lunch and a drink.
Dogs on short (2m) leads allowed but must be able to negotiate the stiles along the way.
