A 4 mile (6.5 km) walk with the perfect combination of stunning views and flower filled meadows, follow an old walled lane out of Muker onto high grazing pastures before dropping down into the pretty village of Thwaite. Then take a gentle stroll back to Muker along flagged footpaths through pretty hay meadows.
A cow’us is the local word for a field barn or cow house.
The route takes in some stiles and slight graients. Please wear outdoor cloting appropriate for the weather on the day and sturdy shoes with good grips.
