Information Advisors - North

  • 2 permanent positions and 1 temporary position

  • £8.50 - £8.68 per hour until 31 March rising to £9.19 - £9.94 per hour from 1 April 2019

  • Variable hours

  • Reeth & Aysgarth, or Hawes

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the teams at Hawes Visitor Centre based at the Dales Countryside Museum, and Reeth and  Aysgarth Visitor Centres.

Acting as a front line communicator with visitors to the National Park, ideally you will enjoy working with people, have a good knowledge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, particularly of Wensleydale for the Hawes position and have an interest in promoting the Dales Countryside Museum facility. For the Reeth/Aysgarth post; a good knowledge of Swaledale and Wensleydale is desirable.

Experience of working with the public in an information or sales environment and computing skills will be an advantage.

The Centres are open to the public 7 days a week from April 1 through to the end of October, weekends and school holidays throughout winter.

For this job you should expect to work a shift pattern which will include working at weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings.

The Hawes vacancies are for 737.75 hours and a temporary position of 638.50 hours
