Yorkshire Dales Development Framework

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has started work on the new Yorkshire Dales Development Framework (YDDF) which will form the Local Development Framework (LDF) for the National Park. LDFs represent a new way of producing planning policies following the 2004 Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act and will replace the old system of Local Plans.

The YDDF consists of a number of elements:

- Housing and Minerals & Waste Development Plan Documents (DPDs)
- Call for housing sites

Public consultation
- Sustainability Appraisal (SA)
- Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
- Local Development Scheme (LDS)
- Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)

Housing Development Plan Document (DPD)

Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

The SCI sets out the Authority's arrangements for involving the public in the planning process through consultation and participation.

Local Development Scheme (LDS)

The LDS sets out the programme for the production of the YDDF. A revised version was adopted by the Authority in November 2009:

Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)

The Annual Monitoring Report is used to identify the impact of planning policy, noting any trends and areas for future action. These reports are produced each December  and cover the preceding financial year. AMRs are available for the last four years:
