Stone built - roof consists of large stone slabs with some concrete lintels and an iron girder in the middle - Overall condition is reasonable. Both entrances are open and have revetted approaches with the reventment walls on the W side being particularly high. The W entrance also has a large stone gate stoop.

Good condition. Stone but most northerly section is reinforced with concrete in places. Main tunnel is also lined with corrugated asbestos. Addl Features: This is a double one. The first part goes under the ‘old’road & the second part under the B6480. There is a gap in the middle open to the elements. The header stone above entrance to the tunnel under B6480 is decorative (photo SU13-4). South entrance has a steep curved approach with long stone revetments either side. North entrance has a steep curved approach with a stone revetment on the East side.

Keystone arched entrances, roof lined in stone. Both ends blocked by pallets hence the approx width & height. NOT ON PROW. From observation it looks like it is situated on a route parallel to the Kings Highway (Edge Lane). Cannot see any other continuation of the route that would justify a stock underpass.
