Appeals to planning decisions

All applicants have the right to appeal against refusal of planning permission.

For householder or minor commercial applications this must be done within 12 weeks of the date of the decision. All other application types have six months from the date of decision.

How to make an appeal

Appeals can be made online, or you can obtain a copy of the appropriate form from:

The Planning Inspectorate
Room 3/13
Temple Quay House
2 The Square
Temple Quay
BRISTOL
BS1 6PN

enquiries@pins.gsi.gov.uk

The Planning Inspectorate can also give more details about the appeal process.

How to view an appeal and decisions
