The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is the statutory planning authority for the area. 

Planning is vital to ensure new developments are well designed and carefully sited. They need to contribute to the quality of the natural environment and built heritage. Other considerations include how they need to provide homes and work places to sustain our rural communities and local economy.

Planning Application Validation Requirements in the Yorkshire Dales National Park
