Annual Tourism & Outdoor Providers' Forum - Our Food, Our Stories, Our Landscape - Our Heritage

The annual Forum event is our main opportunity to invite tourism & tourism related businesses to get together to network with other Dales businesses. The theme for the 2017 event was based on ‘Our Food, Our Stories, Our Landscape - Our Heritage’.

Star Tips: Dark Sky Workshops for Tourism Businesses on 22 & 23 November

Led by Richard Darn, an astronomer and media consultant who was involved with the designation of Northumberland National Park as a Dark Sky Park.

Destination Dales: Business Networking Event
17 November 2016 ~ West Burton Village Hall, DL8 4JY ~ 10am to 2pm

This was a marketing workshop event which was attended by over 50 business representatives who braved some very inclement November weather and wet roads to attend this event, led by members of the Destination Dales board.

The event was chaired by Judith Donovan CBE, Chair of the Destination Dales board.

Tourism and Outdoor Business Forum
1 February 2016 ~ Falcon Manor Hotel, Settle

The Tourism and Outdoor Providers' Business Forum, our annual major event for tourism businesses, was attended by over 50 business representatives. 

The day started with an inspirational talk from local adventurer and author, Alastair Humphreys, followed by a presentation from Welcome to Yorkshire on their plans for 2016, an introduction to the needs of Chinese tourists, and the Fair Booking scheme from Cumbria Tourism. There was also time for networking and a tour of the stunningly refurbished Falcon Manor Hotel.
