Yoredale exhibitor: ‘Wildlife is my life’

Bainbridge, 3 September, 2018

Bedale-based landscape and wildlife photographer Paul Fowlie has become the latest local artist to exhibit work at Yoredale, the Bainbridge offices of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.

“On Guard”, a photograph of a Mountain Hare which has just won a Royal Photographic Society Gold Medal, is part of the exhibition.

Five of the 16 framed photos on display were taken in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The free-to-see exhibition at Yoredale will be open Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1700, until the end of October.

Mr Fowlie, a horse racing tipster who took up photography seriously only 7 years ago, said: “Wildlife is my life – and photography brings me closer to nature.  I try to get the day job done by 8am so that I can spend the day, and most evenings, out with the camera.”
