Learning and engagement

There is a range of ways that the National Park can help you visit and learn about this special area. There is the Dales Experience programme which organises visits for groups which might otherwise find it difficult to come here - such as those with learning difficulties or with mental health issues. Or get involved with a John Muir Award or Duke of Edinburgh.

Then there are specific education walks for school groups so that you can study places like Malham or Hawes with our experienced guides. For children close to Settle there is also the Young Rangers who get out in the countryside to work on practical conservation projects.

Or maybe your business or organisation could benefit from a guided walk or corporate team building day doing a practical project such as helping repair a footpath or planting trees. Why not get in touch with our Rangers to find out more.
