Progress update:
A North Yorkshire Rural Evidence Base now exists that provides demographic, economic and environmental data, although none of this is specific to the National Park.
Together with the other English National Park Authorities and Natural England, the National Park Authority is helping to develop a core set of indicators of 'the state of each National Park'. It is intended that this will include key data on the socio-economic wellbeing of each Park. This work is due to be completed by March 2012.
