Each year, develop and implement at least one new programme of formal or informal education or training to encourage schools and groups to get involved in conserving the special qualities of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Progress update:
Up until 2011/12 the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has undertaken a themed programme of educational events each year. Unfortunately, the formal education programme had to be cut as a result of the Government’s funding cuts. No new programmes will be developed, although the Authority will still provide practical support to local schools and visiting school groups through its Ranger Service.
