Progress update:

a) The National Park Authority has been participating in a number of initiatives to achieve this objective. They include the MOSAIC project working with black and minority ethnic groups in Bradford and Keighley in order to familiarise them with the National Park and the Dales Experience project which works to increase understanding among community representatives.

A survey conducted in June 2009 showed an increase in visitors from black and ethnic minority communities to 3%.

b) There have been numerous projects with schools and local community groups to work towards this objective. The National Park Authority has also had a regular presence in Keighley every Thursday. Surveys conducted in December 2009 showed 41% of Bradford and Keighley residents were aware of the National Park.
