Objective Achieved
An Open Access Perception Study was undertaken in 2007. Five hundred visitors to the National Park were interviewed at eight separate locations. Of these five hundred visitors, only one did not know that they were in a national park. This leaves 99.9% knowing that they were in a national park.
Research undertaken amongst visitors in 2009 showed that 91% of respondents knew they were in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
