Progress update:

This objective has already been met. The National Park Authority, through the Tourism Partnership, has set a new more challenging target to increase the number of tourism businesses that are formally accredited through a green tourism scheme. The National Park Authority and Nidderdale AONB, have worked with the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate Tourism Partnership and Welcome to Yorkshire to provide workshops and training which highlight the special values of the national protected areas and influence tourism businesses to think about sustainability, inclusion and conservation in their work, and to participate in an accredited green quality scheme.
