Progress update:
Working with Yorkshire Forward, the Tourism Partnership has been involved in the development of a regional Destination Management System (DMS). This system will enable the partnership to learn more about the activities that visitors are interested in doing during their visit to the Yorkshire Dales. This data will then be used in the development of packages which will match the special qualities of the area to the visitor needs (for example, cycle tourism). The cultural and heritage sectors are represented on the Tourism Partnership Executive board.
