Progress update:
The Yorkshire and Humber Rural Affairs Forum is considering running a Parish Climate Proofing Challenge project. If it goes ahead, the project would involve rural residents in preparing Parish studies to help them understand why changes will be required and how they might meet the challenge of adapting to a new climate. The Forum hopes to carry out consultation events this spring. Communities selected would report on their Parish adaptation ideas by the end December 2008.
