Progress update:
The Dales Countryside Museum (DCM) is supporting with various projects:
- 'Hidden History of the Dales': exhibition and events at the museum
- '50 years remembered': an Oral history project with the Wensleydale School
- 'Our Voices': recording dialect in the Dales with students from Craven College
- A heritage gardening project with volunteers
- Young Archaeologists group based at DCM
- Regular demonstrations and events involving traditional skills and crafts
- Providing a research facility for tracing family and local history
- Providing adequate archival storage for local photographs
- 'Community Window' project involving the Dalesplay nursery, Youth Club, Brownies, Friends of the Museum and residents of Sycamore Hall. This aims to create designs for replacement windows in the museum.
