Progress update:
A North Yorkshire Rural Evidence Base now exists that provides demographic, economic and environmental data, although none of this is specific to the National Park.
Information gathered to assess progress against the District Sustainable Community Strategy Action Plans, some of which are currently under review, is another source, although this too is not National Park specific.
The North Yorkshire Strategic Partnership is revising its Local Area Agreement. This will be approved in July 2008. Targets are being set against more than 70 indicators which include aspects of community activity and wellbeing.
