Welcome to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Management Plan

The Yorkshire Dales Management Plan The Yorkshire Dales: Today and Tomorrow was published in 2000 following wide consultation. In 2006 the Plan was updated.

It looks at the critical issues facing the National Park, and includes 70 specific objectives that the Authority, and its partners, intend to achieve by 2012.

The Plan was updated by a Steering Group including the key statutory agencies and the three Local Strategic Partnerships.  The steering group is now monitoring progress in delivering the Plan's objectives. On this website you can find out what progress is being made towards achieving the Plan's objectives.

Click on any of the themes listed on the left hand menu for a list of related objectives.  By selecting and clicking on an objective you'll then be able to view progress to date.  A colour coded assessment is also given of whether progress is on course to meet the objective.

Green means that the objective has been achieved or is on course.

The information on progress is updated regularly, and shows the latest available data.
