Wildlife and archaeological highlights on the Pennine Bridleway

The Pennine Bridleway passes through or close to some of the most outstanding scenery, habitats and important wildlife sites in the National Park including the Ingleborough Complex Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

Herb Robert flowersA full ecological and archaeological survey to assess the impact of the route on habitats, species and archaeological features in the National Park has been undertaken and work is underway to mitigate against any damage that could potentially be caused by creating the National Trail.

This section will be updated as work on the Pennine Bridleway progresses.
