'Dales' newspaper

Our newspaper, 'Dales', is produced for the 12,000 residents of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and distributed twice a year.

It reports on the work and projects of the Authority and its partners to care for the wildlife and cultural heritage of this special landscape, and to provide a sustainable future for it and its communities.

A scenario of how the National Park landscape might look in high summer 2080 if climate change has gone on unstopped

The latest spring 2008 edition focusses on climate change, and how it might impact on the Dales farming landscape.

Articles look at how we could mitigate and adapt to climate change in the National Park, some fantastic local micro-renewable and energy-saving projects, useful tips from the Energy Efficiency Advice Centre in York for reducing our carbon emmission at home, and what the Authority is doing to put its own house in order.

The 'Dales' newspaper is now also available as an online version. To read the current and past editions, please click on the links below.
