'The Visitor' newspaper

Our annual newspaper, The Visitor, is packed full of features and interesting information for visitors to the National Park. As well as articles about the cultural heritage, wildlife and landscape of this special area, it contains a comprehensive pull-out, 12 month events listing, and useful information such as the the location of car parks, toilets and cash points. There are descriptions of the different dales and there is a detailed map inside the back cover.

In the current edition - The Visitor 2010 - Dales author Bill Mitchell writes about market days in times gone by, you can be inspired by poetry influenced by the wild landscape of Grimwith Reservoir, become a Friend of the Three Peaks and enjoy a short walk taking in the 'barns and walls' landscape of Swaledale.

The Visitor is published in January each year and is available from National Park Centres, Tourist Information Centres, accommodation providers, and many other outlets in and around the National Park.
