Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway
Now you can travel on a train pulled by a steam locomotive from the historic station at Embsay, built in 1888, or Bolton Abbey Station. Portable steps and ramps available for easy access to the train. Tel: 01756 710614.

Grassington
Grassington, in Wharfedale, is a small picturesque town with buildings traditional of the Dales. Many of the facilities are accessible. However, the main street is a sloping square that is cobbled. Some assistance may be required.
Parking Grassington National Park Centre. There is also some parking in the town centre.

Kilnsey Park Trout Farm Park
Situated close to Kilnsey Crag in open countryside. Kilnsey Trout farm includes an estate shop, children’s adventure centre, fly-fishing in two well-stocked lakes and children’s fishery. Most areas of the farm are accessible to wheelchairs but there are steps to craft barn and aquarium. Admission charges. Tel: 01756 752150.

Ribblehead Visitor Centre
Small visitor centre at Ribblehead station, themed on the construction of the Settle – Carlisle railway. No charge for entry. Wheelchair accessible.
Parking Free parking outside the station for centre visitors and rail users only.

Malham
Malhamdale is quite simply a place of amazing natural beauty, with a tiny Dales village nestling under the great natural feature of Malham Cove, 11 miles from Skipton. Many of the facilities are accessible.

Hawes
An attractive market town in the heart of Wensleydale. There are many accessible facilities, including the Wensleydale Creamery and the Rope Makers. However, you will be required to push wheelchairs uphill and mainly on the road, as pavements are narrow.

Dales Countryside Museum
At the Dales Countryside Museum, you can experience what life was once like in the beautiful, but sometimes harsh, landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. The Museum has been adapted for disabled access throughout, with wide aisles, lists, ramps and a two-level information counter. Admission charge. Tel 01969 666210.
Parking There is designated car parking at the Hawes National Park Centre and Museum Car Park.
Toilets There are RADAR facility toilets in the car park. Adapted toilets are also available in the entrance hall of the Museum for all visitors, access via ramp from main lobby to lower ground floor.

Haylands Fishing Platforms
Two adapted fishing platforms suitable for wheelchair users are situated on the River Ure at Hawes. Whilst fishing for brown trout and grayling, look out for various birds, such as dippers, grey wagtails, kingfishers and sand martins.

Hazel Brow Open Farm, Low Row
Guided tours of organic farm with tea room, exhibition area and children’s play area. In the Spring, watch lambs being born and help the feed lambs. Self-guided walks along river bank footpaths. Wainwath Falls, nr. Keld
Small open access and viewing area for these falls on river Swale, adjacent to B6270 Kirkby Stephen road with access by foot onto riverbank.

West Burton Waterfalls
West Burton waterfalls (also known locally as Cauldron Falls) can be easily viewed from the car park and both the waterfall and woodland are peaceful and scenic, (although access is difficult following flood damage) – a good place to relax and enjoy a picnic.
