All visitors and residents of the Yorkshire Dales National Park should be able to enjoy some access to the countryside, no matter what their level of ability. They should be able to decide for themselves whether or not a public right of way or opportunities for recreation are suitable for them as individuals – this is given the shorthand term of ‘Access for All’. Improving access for those with disabilities can also benefit the able-bodied by making facilities easier to use.
