The Hawes National Park Centre is based in the Dales Countryside Museum in the east of the town of Hawes. The purpose-built Centre has a local crafts and information area as well as providing community, educational and conference facilities in a small market town location.
All of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's National Park Centres are also networked tourist information centres. They offer a wide range of services, these include a local and national accommodation booking service, sales of maps, books and souvenirs and information for visitors and locals. They even provide daily weather forecasts for the immediate area.
Our National Park Centres help us to promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the National Park by the general public. The staff working in the Centres have a wealth of knowledge and interesting information about the area.
A 'Yorkshire Dales Holiday Guide' brochure and 'The Visitor' newspaper can be sent out on request.
