Our car parks
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority owns and manages a number of car parks around the National Park, as do local councils and other independent providers. For a full list of car parks across the National Park, visit the Parking section of our Traveldales website
The list of car parks currently managed by the Authority is as follows:
- Aysgarth Falls
- Buckden
- Castle Bolton
- Clapham
- Grassington - Colven
- Grassington - Wood Lane - Note, this car park is for National Park residents displaying an annual permit only
- Hawes
- Horton
- Kettlewell
- Linton
- Malham
- Stainforth
Please park responsibly, within marked bays if they exist, keeping away from verges and leaving enough room for manoeuvre.
Car parking charge
All car parks are pay & display. Daily charges are currently as follows:
£2.20 for up to two hours
£3.20 for over two hours
Vehicles requiring more than one space (caravans, vehicles with trailers etc):
£4.40 for up to two hours
£6.40 for over two hours
Annual passes for residents and regular visitors
If you are a resident of the National Park (or a regular visitor) you may wish to purchase an annual permit. From April 2007 residents as well as visitors will be required to pay for a parking pass. The following charges will be made:
Residents - £30 per annum
Visitors - £75 per annum (it may also be possible to purchase a permit for a shorter period)
Annual passes can be obtained from our offices in Grassington and Bainbridge or from National Park Centres.
Give your car a break
Why not help the enviroment and have a carefree day out without your car? Much of the National Park is easily explored by bus, train, bike or boot. Our Traveldales website has lots of top tips for a car-free visit to the Dales.
